About Us

This room includes cots, sleep mats or pushchairs and each child has their own bedding. The room is also used for children under 18 months, giving them their own space with age appropriate toys that build on the prime areas of development.

Children have unique personalities and this space allows them to develop these, build social skills and make lasting friendships. Activities in this room include sensory play, group activities, learning how to share and socially interact.

Activities in this room include developing life skills like dressing, Early Years activities, Early Talk Boost, music and movement, literacy and maths development as well as engaging in activities covering all areas of the EYFS.

Enjoyment and learning is enhanced at our nursery through topics that change every term (six to eight weeks). Examples are: Spring, People Who Help Us, Fairytales and Mythical Creatures, Transport.

All ages eat meals and share snack time together from our five-star food hygiene kitchen, learning how to socially interact. We offer fresh fruit and vegetable snacks and a varied lunch menu and encourage children to try old favourites as well as introduce new tastes and textures through their diet. Senior members of staff are allergy aware trained.

A qualified SENCO is always on site and all our staff are qualified to a minimum of level 3 with 2 staff members holding a child care related degree. All staff are DBS checked and hold valid paediatric 1st aid certificates. Our door is always answered by a senior member of staff.
