Our Ethos

1.To open up the world to our children and enable each child to participate in nursery life to the fullest extent possible.
2.To help children to develop socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually.
3.To nurture a child’s spiritual and moral concepts and attitudes.
4.To aid children in their acquisition of knowledge, skills and attitudes and the will to use them.
5.To appreciate human achievements in art, music, science, technology and literature.
6.To foster curiosity in all children, to encourage enquiry and develop powers of observation.
7.To establish and maintain good links with parents, friends and the community in general.
8.To foster respect and understanding of all races and religions, and to understand the world in which they live and the interdependence of individual groups and nations.
9.To provide opportunities which will enable each child to develop towards his/her fullest potential.
10.Last but not least, to encourage our children to be happy, motivated and self-confident, enabling them to cope with experiences in the world around them.

Aims & Objectives

To provide a positive, secure, stimulating and supportive environment.
To encourage children to interact and have involvement with their peers.
To have an effective, balanced and purposeful Early Years curriculum accessible to all children, including those with special educational needs.
To encourage and foster all children to have self-esteem and confidence.
To develop and extend a child’s social skills.
To promote opportunities for independence.
To provide a consistently calm environment that promotes a stable learning environment.
To monitor, record and evaluate children’s progress.
To identify, assess and review individual needs within the code of practice.
To have commitment to develop excellent partnerships with parents and share responsibility for meeting special educational needs with them.
To foster good links and communication with other agencies.
To provide support and additional resources for children at Early Action and Early Action Plus.
To ensure the ‘Special Educational Needs’ policy is known, agreed and implemented by all staff.
To ensure staff development regarding special educational needs.

Mission Statement

It is our aim to make our children’s nursery hours enjoyable and educational by providing a loving, caring environment where children learn to develop their social and educational skills through structured play in a happy and secure atmosphere.
